What is Chitosan?
Chitosan is produced from chitin, a naturally occurring fiber that is a major component of the exoskeleton of shellfish. In laboratory tests, Chitosan becomes soluble in a solution of simulated stomach acid, binds with fats and oils and forms a protective gel when the pH is increased.

ChitoSense® features a revolutionary new, patented chitosan - LipoSan Ultra™ - that is made by Primex ehf, the leader in chitosan technology. Chitosan is unique among all natural fibers in that it is positively charged when dissolved in simulated stomach acid. As a result, only chitosan can bind tightly with fats and oils. In vitro laboratory tests show that ChitoSense® is 3 to 5 times more effective in binding fat and oils than conventional chitosan.

Compared to conventional chitosan, the key to ChitoSense's® superior performance is its extremely rapid solubility in stomach acid. In fact, it takes ChitoSense® only 5 minutes or less to dissolve compared to 1 hour or more for conventional chitosan. Consequently, ChitoSense® is able to bind with substantially more fats and oils - 3 to 5 times more as shown in laboratory tests. Made exclusively from North Atlantic shrimp shell, the chitosan in ChitoSense® is extremely low in lead and free from pesticide and antibiotic contamination associated with shell produced from third world shrimp farms.

Contents: 180 Capsules per bottle (2 month supply) Contains no sugar, starch, salt, wheat, corn, yeast or soy derivatives.

Suggested Dosage: Take 2 or 3 capsules at mealtime (it is not necessary to take ChitoSense™ ahead of time). Drink at least 8 oz. of water during the meal.

Administration: It is recommended that fat soluble vitamins, drugs, and supplements be taken 4 hours before or after ingesting ChitoSense™.

Caution: Chitosan is derived from shellfish. If you are allergic to any form of shellfish you may wish to avoid the use of this product.
